Absolutely gorgeous! The best audio-photo I've seen in a long time.
PS: The new CHPs in a .25cf PE box that Dave graciously advised me on are coming. During my last woodshop class on Saturday I just learned how create a template and use a router so that the drivers will mount flush! ...its starting to get real fun.....

Holy cow do I want those green ones!!!!
if you're talking about the boxes; flat sliced red oak veneer - 2 coats "Swing" Steel Blue Satin Varnish
hold on, these are small enough to ship
if it's the drivers, them too

didn't realize small cabinets are much easier to build... Planet10 suggested the dimensions, and I use them as PC speakers with mainly near field listening. Unlike most of the drivers seen here, these are relatively cheap.
For their purpose with limited driver excursion sound very good. At high volume driven by t-amp clone, cones breakup, but to be expected. Good cabinet for the driver as PC speakers.

The whole setup is a thing of beauty! I love the cabinet color and it's just set off by the green drivers......what eye candy, I wonder if they taste as good as they look

Take a bit to talk me out of those 🙂 But anything is possible.
Not clear in the picture above is that these have corian tops. The top was choosen to compliment the "blue" stain. When blue turned to green (not the 1st time i've had that happen to me), i made drivers to suit.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

*I have closeups of most of the other boxes too

Those are just amazing Dave.....the color makes me as green with envy! I like the brown cabinets and drivers that are on top of the other blue'ish/green cabinets too. Those green ones just speak to me......maybe something to do with being a UofO Ducks fan

uFonken in macassar ebony (correct me Chris if i have mangled the spelling). The veneer was 'gifted" to us and would qualify as exotic.
This particular pair of boxes have set more than a few people on their butts with open mouths.

uFonkenSET Prototype
A bit bigger then a uFonken, a bas shape that is trapezoidal similar to the Mar-Ken12, and made of solid Locust. With the etra volume there is a bit more weight in the bottom. Amazing how they can fill a large room.
Here sitting on a Mar-Kel70.

Beautiful! Now if we only had a trapezoidal cab for the 10.2's!!🙂
I'm thinking about solid wood cabs as well.
Best,
Don

Bernie gets full credits for the beautiful woodwork..
I knew you were going to ask that 😀
Now that i've broken thru the 2nd one, the others should fall quickly. Chris said he isn't going to build any rectangular ones anymore.
With a few changes A10.2 will fit into Mar-Ken12 enclosure. We are working on converting a surplus Mar-Ken12T box to fit a pair of EL70eN.

Bernie is to be commended. They are beautiful!

I agree with Don, but Bernie's always doing nice work.
I'd like to see some of his worst work for a change!
😀
Best Regards,
Terry

you won't - that's what the shop wood stove is for - unlike MDF&bondo most solid wood is (relatively) safe to heat the workshop with

Very good looking pair; also good to know that the already superb P10 Kens are getting an "upgrade" with the trapezoidal design.
