My further experiences with full range loudspeakers and OBs with Pass amplifiers
Of course, only if it is in someone's care. Otherwise I will not tiring myself, (and others) to terrorizing the English language. (possibly even bombarded at me.)
After all, I would deserve it, although I'm not as ugly as Osama, but while I'm more evil than he is ever be.

I try to first give you a little historical review. I, like many ones in our country (and around the world) the construction began with QUAD405, some thirty years ago.
I do not know that I made, how they relate to the original. But I remember him these criticisms:
It sounds good, so good loud.
Thereafter for a long time not really experimented with anything like this.
Sometime after a Velleman K4040 was the big push.
Until sometime around 2000 I found this:
Internode :: Residential :: Tech Space :: Personal Webspace
In fact, thanks to Mark, now that I'm here.
He showed me that all these can be done.
This has led to this point:

Then, the infection is completely escalated me.
I do not know whether I was somewhat understandable so far?

There is something for somebody his proposal for me?
(Sure apart from you jumping into a well!)
So my sound system looks like this now:
Excuse me Nelson, how I used your drawing!

Hi Gyuri,😀

You are bit slow in your description, I am very interested in your experiences.
May be you read it, I just use the Jon ver Halen TOA (tiny open baffle alnico) with different First Watt amps. But my crossover is passive. Tomorrow I will try to compare just for fun one speaker biamped with the passive elements to get an impression what I may win in sound by going aktiv.

Jon highly recommended me the Duelunds as a bypass for the passive solution, but they are expensive.
Active solution could be cheaper.....For me nearly all parts lying around.

What a pity that Nelsons open baffle story got a "War and Peace" oeuvre, it took Tolstoi about 6 years and he even produced two versions.....😛

My thing is heavy with this.
Not only because of the English.
I do not feel quite competent myself, that let me give a fair opinion from the sound of a some kind of sound system.
I am not a smarty anyway.
But I will try this because of that.
This does not last until so much possibly then, than the War and Peace.
But I ask your patience.

Gyuri

Hello Gyuri, It is always good to get others impressions of different configurations. A couple of observations, your english is much better than my Magyar! Your observations are just as valid as any others. We all are unique people, and each of us hears differently, but the thoughts of others can always help us to better understand, both ourselves and each other.

Köszönöm,

Dave

Yes it seems too often that our international brothers worry too much for their second or third language competency. Your English is perfectly fine Gyuri, better than many of us, myself included sometimes. i understand however the reluctance to put forth matters of subjective and emotional response to the marriage of technology and art. its a difficult subject and a test of language skills.

you are doing fine, keep it up as i'm quite interested in your observations also.

I wont even speak of my command of your native tongue......

Hi, Gusp!
You spoil me!:shy:

Not really relevant to this subject, but...
Today visited me sajti.
Brought for me two tranny.
Right, that these not for free, but almost yeah!
So what can I do with these?
I have ideas, but may I count on your opinions?
So the big resolution foto appears the tranny's specifications:

1000VA
2x25V/20A
2x160V/50mA
6.3V/2A

Eh, not so bad?
So this is my question:
I would like to use it these for my F4's.
With something kind of tube VAS.
Mine big quest is:
The expected DC voltage is about 35V.
Will this kill my F4 amplifiers?
Especially the specious JFETS.
I would be sad about this.

Any opinion?

Gyuri

what sort of tube VAS ?

use this - without input fet buffer ( some values need tweaking for your needs and input caps at F4 needs consideration of arrangement , because of voltage , but principle is there) :
