F5 power amplifier

Power supply question:

The original pass article has 2 full bridges with the pos output of one connected to the neg of the other to give the ground.

I've often seen bipolar supplies built with just one bridge, the centre tap of the transformer forming the ground point.

Obviously there must be some advantage to using 2, but I don't know why, and can't find an answer in the searches.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

well, been looking at Panasonic TS-UP, at Digikey
I calculated, and I calculated
but taxes, customs, and shipping
no way

I have ordered 16x Rifa
with can size 35x95mm, and just 4700uf/63V, man thats a monster cap
no customs, and free shipping, about the same cost

well, my only cell phone now is what you could call a Nokia "NOS"
and a friend even told me the model have become a cult thing now, old but indestructable

it is a fact that we as human beings are changing rapidly because everything comes easy just by pushing a bottom
but here it at least makes some sense 😎🙄
