Brian and I would love to, but its just a matter of capacity. It takes a lot of time to build up the kits and test modules etc. This is not a full time business for us. Just a hobby.
Brian & Russ,
Do what you can and take your time. Audio isn't EVERYTHING! When you have a previous generation design, such as the Buffalo 32S coming so close to Weiss Dac 2 for pennies on the dollar, there is little to complain about. The next time, wake up and be quick with your mouse.
Good job fellas!
Anand.

What is the gain of TP I/V modules?
It is user adjustable.
Stock values:
IVY III: 2VRMs.
Legato 1 and 2: 1.5VRMs
For single ended users it is best to adjust the gain of the BAL/SE stage and not the I/V stage. This applies to both IVY and Legato.

I asked how much gain, not output amplitude.
What is the amplitude at the output of the DAC chip?

What is the amplitude at the output of the DAC chip?
Then you are ignorant of the question you should be asking. 😉
This is current to voltage conversion, not voltage amplification. 🙂
Now if you are interested on how much current gets converted into how much voltage you can find that answer in two very convenient places. The above post, and the manuals/schematics. 😎

So, what is the DAC's output current?
What is the DAC's output amplitude when operating in voltage mode?
Volumite firmware question
Volumite Firmware for Buffalo-II Stereo/Buffalo-II Dual-Mono/Buffalo32S
I currently have the B32S w/volumite. My assumption is that the programming
(firmware) for the B32S is the same for the B32II. My firmware is from my B32S purchase back in May of 2009.
I ask because I will be switching to the B32II.

The older version of the firmware will not work with a dual mono setup.
That is correct, if he is going to do dual mono (which he did not say, so I don't know) he would want the newer firmware. Otherwise they are the same. But that would be true for the Buffalo 32 and Well as the Buffalo II
Yes the same firmware should work just fine.
Thanks. Mono setup.
Then you will want to order new firmware.
Oh! What I meant by mono was one B32II (stereo) not dual mono. Sorry. 😉
Thanks again.
I would like to ask, if the 10VA rated Antek transformers are sufficient to power a placid and a placid bp (9+9 & 15+15) in their default configuration. Here is the data sheet:
http://www.antekinc.com/pdf/AN-01XX.pdf
I considered ordering transformers from TPA, but I have the feeling adding their weight to the buffalo2 box would definetly decrease my chances to get away without additional custom fees 🙂

That's also an option, alltho they might be too big for my case. What about the Antek 25VA?
