I would rather use a VBE multiplier mounted to the heatsink instead of the two diodes. It is difficult to mount diodes snuggly to a heat sink.

There's more transistors that support 100W, for ex: MJL3281/1302 it are complementary.
2N3773 is difficult of meeting original and also worse than the above model.

Here is one that will work with your mpsa42's and will be 10 times better that the one you posted. Runs on 40-0-40vdc. 🙂
