Hi ZenMod,
Are there any kits left to be sold?
Cheers
Peter
yup 😉
ZM et al.
I got LDR's from Udaileys GB ... (as I was planning on doing the other Lightspeed before I found these PCB's)
It seems (in my inexpereinced eyes) that they where matched a tad bit differently ... he recommends using a 500k pot to get a useful range out of the Silonex LDR's from his batch... does that change anything implementation wise on yours or should I follow the schemtaics to a tee?...
(Sorry if this is noob stuff, I am merely a builder at this stage and am slowly trying to actually learn what is going on most of the time!) I just want to make sure these will work correctly as designed for your PCB... thanks in advance!
My LDRs measured as follows... @5VDC
LDR Number / 100k / 200k / 300k / 400k
1 / 1662 / 4332 / 7670 / 12636
2 / 1652 / 4284 / 7630 / 12640
3 / 1607 / 4330 / 7623 / 12700
4 / 1600 / 4297 / 7605 / 12289
5 / 1637 / 4304 / 7338 / 12576
6 / 1663 / 4361 / 7355 / 12256
7 / 1680 / 4357 / 7403 / 12449
8 / 1647 / 4374 / 7530 / 12615
It seems to me that, based on readings, LDR 1-4 would be the series LDR's and 5-8 would me the shunt LDR's.

How to proceed?
Hi Zen Mod,
Sorry for this stupid question, could not find the details in the thread.😕
What do I need to do to order the PCB's + other parts you provide? and what do they cost?
Thank you
Peter

Seems to me that all of them are matched quite OK. Anyhow, I'll leave to ZM to confirm, as he was the master of matching them.

Yeah they are all matched very well! I just want to make sure they are matched close to the same method that ZM did in order to confirm that they can be dropped in as such on the PCB and wether to use the 500k pot or the 10k pot as specified in the diagram/cookbook. Udailey used a 500k pot to match them. 🙂 Thanks!

If You intend to use PSMLS PCB01, then there is no question - Use 10K LIN. pot.
If they are already matched well, then everything is OK, they can be used, shure.
Is it nescessary to put 2M2 pots acros the LDR-s for ZEN matched LDR-s mr spalevski?
Hi, If LDR are well matched, then Trimmer pots of 2M2 are not needed. One should build the curcuit without 2M2 pots and only if notices some problems with channels, then should try with pot 2M2 (or something else, for example changing LDR internal positions or something else...).

Today is a sunny day, so here comes some more pictures.
First one is how to connect/wire PCB01 for UnBalanced use.
and Balanced, too![]()
excellent , SP - as usual ;

that's , off course , for use without PCB_02 - quadruple buffer

all possible combinations are ....... possible !

Shure, right ZM.
I'll post wiring for PCB01 & PCB02 when used as pair, soon (in day, or two).
PCB02 Buffer PCB needs correction!
UUUPS....Mistake been found on PCB02. 🙁
Thanks to acidbrain for informing.
C6 & Q3 (Collector) needs to be connected.
Yellow line shows where short solder piece of insulated wire needs to be connected.
Sorry for this.
