after much thought, i have decided to push ahead with my own build my way, as although its a well thought out and quite attractive case, its too much money to not get exactly what i need and as is i would have to spend not unsubstantial additional money to make it fit with the rest of my system. i can only hope that regulator pcbs will offered to those who dont buy the case. its a key differentiator and one of the main reasons i pushed ahead to build this amp even though i've already got an ajx, 2 circlotrons and a susy chipamp under way. i have also already bought the mosfets for the regulators

if not, i hope there is a modified board that is more generally applicable, getting a one off board made would be prohibitively expensive, as i am not capable of designing it myself, i'm working on this skill, but i've got a long way to catch up.

Whether and how many regulator boards will be offered depends on the forum.
The Gerber files are now with Variac, from whom we have not heard for a few days.

Failing that, you can make your own following the schematics and photos published.
And fitzfish might offer a generalised PSU board including regulators at a later date.

So regulator board is not the reason why you would want to join this GB.

The case is quite pretty, but too costly for the purpose from my perspective. I'm sure I'll regret my decision, but I must pass on the case.

Even if all confirmed, we shall not exceed 25 cases.
So those who wanted to subscribe for 2 cases per person are allowed to do so.
No need to PM me separately on that.

A few questions :

1) Shipping cost to Malaysia = Approx. Euro 50?
2) Shipping cost of heatsink = Apprx.?
3) Is John willing to tapped the heaksink and ship them to us? The cost?
4) Approximate total cost of this amp? Will it cost more than the original F5 itself?

Thanks.

yes, the f5x has bigger heatsinks, has higher current capacity Transformer and PSU and has more active devices.
It cannot cost the same as an F5
