It would be very interesting if someone got one running and compared it to the simple sit amp =)

L'Amp is a excellent diy project.
Single - ended only one sit transistor.
Anyway work well if <95 dB efficiency speakers
100 dB or superior be better choice.
New Sony CS is different not caps, resistors or inductors
be very promis but it depends of dac or vinyl ,
horns , speakers , acoustic of the room synergy
the final sound flavor is art to associate this elements
like food in the kitchen so no perfect element
just fun to experiment and enjoy the result.
Same amplifier can work marvelous in one
but less in other audio system.
Make two amplifiers and direct compare is a real solution :)

We must send a pair of this complementary to take care of Papa :p

OK two more greedy questions...

What is the estimated power output for 8 and 4 ohms?

And could we use both secondaries in parallel and use only the top output device for a SET topology?

I think Michael investigated using one of the old SITs as a current source in the l amp simple sit which is very similar to this one but dismissed it due to having little transconductance and didn't work well as a ccs in the circuit. http://www.audiohobby.com/pdf/lamp ccs.pdf

those are so called 600:600 repeater coils

both primary and secondary comprised of two independent windings , that's more like 150+150:150+150 , tranlsated as 1+1:1+1 , while Papa is using them as 1:1+1

note : when writing ratio ("1" to "something" ) , "+" is not used to represent fashion of connection in actual circuit
