Ultra Simple Class D

Because its SIMPLE class D , no good for power & HIFI .
If you want quality , use other shematics.

As per the jbl bpx1100.1 it should be called as power amplifier...jbl schema has shown it to be working at +/-61 volts on 1ohms load...indeed my amp with 1pair of mosfwt handles 2ohm stereo and 4ohms bridge mono at 30-0-30 volts and problem was i had small heatsink with this amount of load
I added a fan for forced air cooling and then everything was cool even on bridge mode using resistor load of 4ohms..
So i guess i can call it as power amp..it can deliver 500 watts per channel in 2ohms load if i add 2more pairs..
I will do it and get the results with higher voltage..

just use irf9540n and irf540n and all will be o.k down to 2 ohms

irf9540n and irf540n failed again. But I found the culprit,It was the Inductor.

The Value of Inductor was less than 10uH, I Wound some more wire to make it around 30uH.Now the Amp works fine with 4ohms.

I am curious how low value Inductor failed the FETs.

I can hear a faint 'Buzz' from woofer, is it normal for Class D amps?

There should not be any noise..
My amp worked well with irf9540/540 even on 1ohm load with 35-0-35dc supply.
Yours should work even cooler.
Use 1uf capacitor and 30uh coil.
And do not use higher value smoothing capacitors. Just use 470uf/100v capacitors max

Hi all, been following this amp for a while now and decided to build one.

Of course I can order the T106-2 toroidal core, but I have plenty EI / EE ferrite available.
Only problem is that it is all PC-40 grade material (TDK) and I need about 5 turns to get to 30µH, which can not be correct. (even with air gap)

I've seen some designs in this thread with EI and ETD ERL cores anyway. Could
someone tell me which ferrite materials were used there?

Thank you.
