I agree that they do not look quite as nice as the 3118 boards, but I think the ones I bought at least look close. Worth a try anyhow. Tracking looks like I should have them Thursday, along with some Sanwu 3118 boards I put on the same order to compare. Will let you all know once I wire them up.

There are two small ceramic caps under the heatsink, so it has some close to pin decoupling that is hardly visable.

It has some interesting features, variable gain, PBTL option, bypasses for the volume pots and power switch, Shutdown and mute broken out, and space for a DPAK 78Mxx IC. Sounds pretty good too.

Yup. This is one of the better ones. I have this one about a year ago (I bought directly from the "manufacturer" (TPA3116??????12-24V??????/???????????-??????). Sounds fine. This is a newer version and has more features built in. Probably the "best value" among all the boards available, all things considered. Looks like the power on LED is removed. It is very bright. Enjoy!

The power LED is actually in place but is a SMT 0603 style LED on the front. It is indeed quite bright. I got the 3118 version of that board as well, will post in that thread later.

That last mono board posted was my last choice simply due to size. Who knows though, might be the best of them all.

I like differential inputs, but
Question is size too big with this layout, question is how does bottom look, question is what is under heatsink. That last part might be answered by picture below, same producer/designer. If like that I would say, no contender.

I have the same amp - the "SMAKN" with lots of options. Sounds fine too as Lo Tse has said. It does concern me that they skipped the output snubber - there is no resistor and cap snubber after the main LC filter. This might mean some noise from the "dead time" between the transistor switching on and off as Irrebeo pointed out in the 3118 thread.

Interesting choice of 15uH inductors - a compromise between 4ohm (10uH) and 8ohm (22uH) output impedance?

I suppose the inductor compromise is probably good for me, my bookshelf speakers are 8 ohm and the woofers are 4 ohm.

I may add some snubbers myself knowing that they could help. I have tried numerous "SMAKN" amps now, all of them have been reasonably good so far.

Matsuda, I dont think its its the RC filter since it requires the resistor to be in series to pin 17. From the picture it seems that its just 2 capacitors in parallel.
