Sunday we are voting again in Sweden. Me and my son is going to take a vote. If people dont vote, there is no election and you have no parlamentory democracy. Usualy Sweden has some 96 percent coverage which is strange because we have not been in any war or quarry for hundreds of years. There is very little "national proudness" in Sweden. People are just happy when things work out, also for others, I guess.

Still. People go vote. Here is a brief history of votes in Sweden:

1898 - The Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) is founded. Workers Union
1920 - Hjalmar Branting forms the first Social Democratic government. The majority in parliament was, however, non-socialist.
1921 - The first election with universal suffrage for women as well. Democracy is achieved
1930´s major reforms are introduced, including unemployment benefits, improved retirement pensions, holidays, dental care, public works to combat unemployment.
1951 - Coalition government with the Farmers’ Union, now known as the Center party. The 1950´s saw investment in education and research, housing construction, sickness benefits and after a major struggle including a national referendum and a Social Democratic government of its own after 1959 a general service pension
1954 - All restrictions on travel, residence and free movement of labour in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are removed for Nordic citizens.
1969 - Tage Erlander is succeeded by Olof Palme as Prime Minister and party leader.
1971 - At the start of the 1970´s labour market reforms are introduced: laws on codetermination, security of employment and health and safety at work. Legislation on parental insurance, public free school education and dental insurance.
1976 - The Social Democrats lose the election after 44 years of continuous
government and a non-socialist coalition is formed, led by Torbjörn Fälldin from the Center party. During the following six years the coalition collapsed no fewer than three times.
1986 - Olof Palme is murdered on 28 February. Ingvar Carlsson is appointed party leader and Prime Minister
1991 - The Social Democrats lose the election and a government consisting of four non-socialist parties is formed, led by Carl Bildt from the Swedish Conservative party.

Now though, there is a Neo Fashist Party in Sweden. It has taken around 10 % of power with the marginalized and unfortunately growing population that we have in Sweden due to the right wing programs the latest 8 years. Freedom as it is called.

So. On sunday me and my kid and all of our friends are going voting. Important for me and you!

I've only seen it once at this latitude. No, make that once at any latitude. I was on a boat in one particular harbour trying not to throw up when God came to visit. I swore I would never drink again because I saw light flashing across the sky. When I woke up covered in dew, I realized it was all in my mind so I cracked a beer for breakfast.

loads of pupu

Kingspan Therma is good stuff, I used their 70mm PIR panels for a warm roof.
All insulation measures combined dropped the annual gas figure from 12,000+ to 4,000 cubic meter, including heating of the swimming pool.
(average number of a 4-bedroom detached home is 2000 m3, aka ~22,400 kWh/annum)

In a swamp, suspended floors are mandatory.

The opposite of a Fata Morgana is called ZM. (aka he's there, but one refuses to see him)
