EC designs likes to connect the output to the source of the current, being Vdd.

This is also easily achieved
  • by connecting the output I/V resistor to Vdd, and because it supplies 1,2 mA the value can be calculated to e.g. 3k3 @ 7V. The output will be too high then, full scale current being 2,3 mA.
  • Or 2K @ 5V which might just give almost 5Vpp.
Some enhancements can be thought of in this case :)

In the drawer, not the bottom one.

Triode_al,

In your interesting post 69 the schematic mentions LC272 as opamp.
May I assume any opamp will do that is capable of asymmetric power supply?
Or even an opamp in symmetrical power supply if available?

Sorry, I have not tested other asymmetrical power supply- opamps, as I found this opamp in a dump (kwakkelstein) so it was a real trouvaille for me :)
And I did not have an asymmetrical power supply in my build.

The goal is to be able to have a real step, and then apply a little bit of filtering.

Thanks. I will have a try with other opamps.

OT: What a coincidence you mention Kwakkelstein, as my diyaudio name was inspired indeed from the period many years ago I frequented him and gathered lots of trouvailles. I wonder whether the warehouse he retreated in is still open these days.
