Any news about your project?

I had a similar project as yours in mind and being a huge fan of scanspeak I had to admit to myself the 15h52 was the "one" for my 3-way ;)

I ended with this setup:

Raal 70-10 (If only I could get the 70-20XR!!!)
AT 15H52-06-13-SDKAM
ScanSpeak 8861T00
Expected cross freq: 300~400 / 3500~4000

Im working on it atm I'll let you know how these beauties sound together!

Hi PandazYa,

Yes, the work is progressing and I’m about 90% sure which drivers I will use. I have done some box simulations which look promising, but I haven’t had time write anything down yet.

Your setup looks great. I hope you write it down and share it with us :)

to earlier mentioned planned use of Scan Speak 10F as midrange from abt 300Hz.

Having used SS 10F as a midrange in various configurations, dipole and normal can say it really struggles with crossover point less than 700-800Hz on normal sized baffles and less than 400-500Hz on wide (35cm+) ones. On other hand it does quite well up to 7-8kHz on top end. Can even run tweeter-less although the sound becomes a bit "retro".
There is 3 versions of this driver - large manget 4/8ohm which has better sensitivity and low end, and also small magnet version which is noticably cleaner over 1.5kHz all the way into 10-12kHz but its only 85dB/1W with limited power handling.

I'm pretty interested in this setup, I understand you went a different route. That said im still very interested in this, as an end game:

Alternative 1:
Tweeter: 1x RAAL 140-15D
http://www.raalribbon.com/download/raal_140-15d.pdf

Mid: 1x ScanSpeak 15M/4531K00
http://www.scan-speak.dk/datasheet/pdf/15m-4531k00.pdf

Woofer: 2x ScanSpeak 22W/8851T00
http://www.scan-speak.dk/datasheet/pdf/22w-8851t00.pdf

I'm curious why you ultimately went with the:
AT 15H 52 12 06 SDKM
instead of the
SS 15M/4531K00
for the midrange.

Which one would pair better with the RAAL 140-15D?
What are the subjective and objective characteristics of the two mids? I've read a bit on them and they seem somewhat close from a distortion standpoint. The SS seems a bit smoother uptop, but zaphs measurements show it being a bit ragged.
Which one is warmer? Which has a bigger soundstage? Has anyone directly compared the two in sound?
