Distance almost never matters but orientation does. I'll do orientation thanks buddy

Do you think it's bad to put thje leads through the board and connect them on the back side?

You could do that but I don't see much point TBH, the components would need to be secured to the board anyway

It's been a couple of years since I went to the cinema, it was very loud and the sound was crap, but I expected it and went prepared with ear plugs! I have tinnitus and I have to protect myself from loud noise, it makes it worse......ho, hum.....

Maybe.....I think it's just one of those things...I've had it for about 5years but protected myself before then, but who knows the damage may already have been done. Look after your ears..but I think you know that
