Nr 3 | This shop has three floor levels.
Seller proposes to start with modest system.
Some solid state AB and Harbeth speakers.
Well, nothing extraordinary sensations.
Next system was with a better PP amp and speakers with the Rega CD player but not my taste.
We go up with ProAc speakers, KT88 amplifier "Dialogue Two" in ultra-linear mode
and $$$$uper fancy CD player i don't remember the name.
Memorable session ! Can't belive "the light" on symphonic orchestra and the muscular bass guitar on Trentemoller.

Not Single - Ended amplifiers in the town....yes Harley's motors on the parking.
Not short story but on topic about SIT Némésis and OT or not :)

Nr 4 | Meet with Mr. Pascal old school veteran.
His audio boutique was rather small more like an electrician's workshop with tools, multimeters.
I kindly asked if he can make me taste and learn about his own style audio system preferences.
He was OK to make the session.
Next day after telephone confirmation all was ready.
Auditorium room in historical part of the city ,3 to 7m high stone walls.
In the center hand made large open baffles : PHY/ HP wide range drivers ,
PHY/HP
Audiomat OTL tube amplifier Output Transformer Less ,passive pre, with CEC transport and DAC.
Music has such intense emotions!!
Amplifier topology was oposite to SIT Némésis with 16 tubes for stereo and not output signal transformers.
Nr 5 | Conclusions....

not a fayritale , but i have built the Sitamp with the Edcor transformer output
and i have not kept it . it was just sounding as a mellow 300B . the edcor can't compete with a 1000uf films caps output . or if it"s not transformer vs capacitor output perhaps i was just listening High voltage vs high current biasing for the SIt.:)

yess , i have 2X 480uf per side , expensive can but lsurely less espensive than a Custom made transformer for Sit nemesis.
you can do half of the road with a mix of aluminim cap and Film cap .
i get full range with a 16ohm field coil speaker , probably not sufficient for 8 or 4ohm speaker.

Response to member Sergiu2009 request of Némésis schematics
This one is from first "L'Audiophile" article and frequency response without and with the feedback, distortion etc.
Photo Nr 3 is a definitive version then push-pull version "Quadrige"

Construction notes :

Super Némésis | 2.2 KOhms multiturns trimmer for low distortion adjustement, current 0.8 A for voltage mesurement on the 0.1 Ohm of the 2SK135 source resistor = 80 mV

Compensated Némésis | adjustement on Vr 1 trimmer around 0.1 Ohm source resistor find 650 mA = 65 mV take after 1 hour temperature stabilisation

Compensated version output transformer are 330 watt's power toroid with 2x 110 V primaires ~ 73 Ohms 2x (A) (B)
and 1x 40 V secondaire ~ 9.7 Ohms

No need for exotica high cost output transformer ex: Tango
Mr. Hiraga write compensated version are most equal on all frequencies ( much better low bass )
Classic Némesis or Super are destinated for bi amplified audio wonders :D Greetings

Hello,
Those were the days. Paper magazines paid by international money order. There was not a real schedule when they would end up in your mailbox.
If you need parts you usually had to travel to Rue de Belfort in Paris to find out most parts were not available. If you did not manage to ask something in French you felt like completely lost. If you could the shopkeeper would answer at such a speed that your brain would evaporate after sitting a few hours in the bus. But still better sound that most of the diy stuff available nowadays. Greetings, Eduard
