Something tells me this for C1 isn't going to fit!

Thanks Merlin..just ordered some K40Y-9...see how they go.

So I have success on first test. Only had 1ohm for R1 so it is running quite a bit of CCS. Testing with 2x 10W 10R in series.
Set for 3v3 with 1 green, 1 jumper and 62R and I have 3.32v so perfect there.
I'm monitoring the heat and then shall test on a dac.

9.3V DC level is alright for your purposes after bridge losses etc. 9.3V-3.3V=6V DC across the reg. Good for stiff CCS performance. More would be bad for dissipation on sinks. Also, 62mV RMS ripple seems quite probable for such CCS load.
Indicates, if you had put a scope on CM, about 200mV pk-pk sawtooth 100Hz on the screen. But expect a straight line on the reg's output.

Music!

So a quick test with playing actual music and all is very well.
My normal 'rig' is a full Ian Canada stack but obviously quite involved for quick tests. So this evening I quicky rigged L adapter 5v >Ian Isolator dirty side> Rpi and Reflektor 5v2> Ian isolator clean side> Hifiberry Dac Pro. Quite a cheap dac hat but surprisingly good. Especially when Salas powered.! Signal from dac into DCG3!
Limitations of todays test being that the R-d 5v goes through an ldo for 3v3 on the dac. Without cutting traces and stuff this is all I could manage this evening but I am very pleased.

Thanks once again Salas and Tea:;

I'm using the Reflector-D to power the Distinction-1541 V3 5V input.

I’ve set the Reflector-D with Two green LEDS on LED1-LED2 positions and a jumper on Rx/J/D position.

My house voltage is pretty high, when the reg goes into production it will be on a stable 120v mains.

At 122 volts mains I’m only getting 4.56 volts on the Reflector-D.

What can I do to raise the voltage to over 5 volts at the 122 leaving me at the 5 volts when in production?

Thanks!

Not related to the mains. Lacking some dc ref voltage level. Add 220R Rx to see where it goes.

That worked perfectly! Salas, In the last few weeks, across a few threads, you have answered my shunt reg questions expediently with spot on information to all of my queries.

100R got me to 5.15 Volts, 220R got me up to 5.37 Volts.
These were some bench 1/4 watt 1% Metal Film resistors, not sure of the ppm value.

But I know what to order for when this goes into production.

Thanks again for everything Salas!
