Simple, no-math transformer snubber using Quasimodo test-jig

Full-wave ss diode rectifier application. Each half HT winding leakage inductance of 6.1mH at 20kHz measured by soundcard/REW impedance sweep with shorted windings, with self-resonance about 100kHz. Half winding shunt capacitance about 600-620pF measured by resonance frequency, and confirmed by impedance sweep with open windings and self-resonance frequency with leakage inductance test. UF4007 diode across snubber does not change damping.

I measured on the scope and my pot was at ~18R.
I had a fixed 15R on the bench that I put into the Quasimodo to test - works great! 15R is in the amp now.

Can confirm, got the same range of acceptable values as thompsontechs for my AS-3218 trafo.

Rs = 7R5 as measured off the pot (actual resistors of 10R to 12R worked fine)

Toroid Corp of Maryland custom order. Asked for 300VA, 18V secondaries and quiet as possible. Per ZM fashion was build on oversized 410VA core, ES shield, Mu metal band, resin potted.

Results for all 4 transformers showed Rs of 9-11R as measure on pot.

Did a search on this thread, the original Quasi thread and on Google…found an inquiry, but no results for a Quasi test

I’m looking for Quasimodo info on the Avel Y236651 transformer?

I used this same transformer in a build I’m trying to solve a noise issue in. Hoping someone else might have resorted to using it over an Antek or similar with the supply shortage.

I haven’t had luck finding info on it and don’t have the Quasi board or ability to use a scope right now.

Any chance anyone has the Quasi information on it?

It would be a big help.
