b.....Al knob (4mm shaft , so that causing troubles with knob choice ).....
will change vol button for something nicer , as soon I find where I left small bag of 4 to 6 shaft adapters (sleeve, practically)

I've made plastic 4-to-6mm sleeve ( where is full bag of these?) and that allowed to mount old school Zen Amount button

These female chassis mount jack connectors…..some look very fancy from outside with an "alu-face" and a kind of lock mechanism. But is the inside of these connectors the usual "plastic"? …..are there quality difference among them? …..you don't extreme expensive jack connectors like you see with RCA?
 
The only experience I have with these jack connectors is from Starving Student II where a PCB mount connector is used. Seems to do the job. Next will be whammy where I have the kit. Here is also included a connector. I wonder if it is worth upgrading to one of the more fancy connectors. What I can say is that the AudioQuest converter from jack to mini-jack is "super duper" and made in one piece and silvered. It is many classes better than the other converters I have.
