The sing base that Boenicke use might be of interest. The Pearls I heard were on Townshend bases and I think it helped take the speaker out of the room a little...

Sawn the 26mm solid Oak panels.
Thickness each about 33mm (1mm surplus to finetune later).
The next step is to glue the slats against each other alternately.
To do this, I marked the ends of the panels with a marker.

Just makes light work of flattening big glued up panels. Looking forward to seeing how they look. Will you have large fingers joints on the face?

Nice work.

The idea is to make the best possible copy of the original.
Some progress with the cabinets.
Very stiff and heavy assembly already.
Panels with some mm overlenght.
Later perfectly sanding to each other.

I understand your asperations and applaud your efforts (and results so far)

but for the rest of us... we might get close (enough) starting with pre-made hardwood butcher block counter material.

Here in The Netherlands unfortunately no cheap 32mm massive laminated Oak wood available.
These 2x 26mm oak panels 2500x610mm cost me in total (only) 378,00 EUR at GAMMA. And that is pretty cheap.
