I had a short conversation with Hesener. He did not design a pre-regualtor board so far so this has to be build the old fashioned way at the moment. If enough interest comes maybe i can persuade him to design a board for this too, or is that something for you Bksabath ?

I am hapy to do aniting I can.

But seeing hesener design and first batch of pcb one would not certanly spoil thing by going cheap and nasty.

I can do protos for personal use and one off boards.

But when is time to go for the full build I would not buy one of mines..:D

Could you send me SCH and component specs I can have a go at it any way.

It was posted by Frans somewhere here.
Maybe Frans should post the pre regulator section alone.
We have to agree on a power transformer. I think Frans prefers toroids.
I will look out for some.

Yes I do

I always get my transformers from Cybertron

Or:

http://www.amplimo.nl/images/downloads/ds standardrange/18016.pdf when using one
http://www.amplimo.nl/images/downloads/ds standardrange/08016.pdf when dual mono (prefered)

Yes I do

Frans.

P.s. When using toroids you should alwais put them in a separate metal (iron) box and that box should include the mains filter!

r-core...

r-Cores are cool

r-core transformers

and you do not need the 'extra' metal (iron) box, but I would still do that.

The main point about the transformer is:

25VAC 400mA (minimum) for stereo or 2 transformers of 25VAC 200mA (minimum) for dual mono (preferred).

Regards,
Frans.

P.s. I still do like the dynamics of toroids (and will use them (toroids that is) :))
