Ha ha, fantastic thanks everyone! 'High Ratio vents' makes a lot more sense!
I'm now doing a bit of reading tonight to try and understand their advantages.
Thanks Dave, VERY much appreciated!!
I see the photo you posted of the Falcon shows the port on the rear. Assuming the port dimensions are kept the same, would it be detrimental to move the port to the rear?
My drivers have turned up earlier than expected in Australia! I best get on with cabinets! They sure are cute little drivers!

And i never took typing. You will note on yout keyboatd that T is next to R and Y is next to T.
Here are plans.

Not an issue unless you mount them too close to a wall. A better way to think about it is to mount the driver on the back.

Slightly OT but it puts a smile on my face. I hope he gets something close to that.

Anyone can comment the SOL Freq. Response curve
My question is does anyone find the freq. rise irritating if it not control via a Low Pass filter to remove it? If not how do you control it if not all.
From the curve derived from the above reference(thks S4m) and another source I came across, I believe there is rise in the freq. response curve above 5khz to 20Khz from on axis measurement.Hi everyone;

+1 Some of the more extreme rising response 'FR' drivers can require 30+ degrees in a highly reflective ['bright'] room.

What? You NEVER toe-in a lowther
I find them nearly unlistenable without orienting them carefully and picking a good sweet spot. But with that done, on the right content, they're magic.
Never mind the FE103-SOL, there's bigger fish to fry with the FE108-SOL:
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
I just put a pair of those on the break-in bench. Very nice looking drivers.

Hi Dave, are you talking about FE108-sol? any impressions so far?
Thanks in advance,

Only nearly?!
Needs the $0.98 and phase plug tweaks for me to get there.
