i wont to change the 2 schottky diode

d-908
d-910

DIODE FMBG19L (90V/4A)

in the smps

to

CREE - C3D04065A - DIODE, SCHOTTKY, 4A, 650V, TO-220

It's Worth It ??

This specification of the diode -CREE - C3D04065A

650-Volt Schottky Rectifier

Optimized for PFC Boost Diode Application

Zero Reverse Recovery Current

Zero Forward Recovery Voltage

High-Frequency Operation

Temperature-Independent Switching Behavior

Extremely Fast Switching

Positive Temperature Coefficient on -Vf

Replace Bipolar with Unipolar Rectifiers

Essentially No Switching Losses

Higher Efficiency
Reduction of Heat Sink Requirements

Parallel Devices Without Thermal

Runaway Switch Mode Power Supplies

Power Factor Correction
-

Typical PFC P out 400W-600W

sorry, you have to measure the ringing and counteract it with a snubber. If you have a scope it can be done with some trail and error. Cant't help you with that. Maybe somebody did it already???
It is common that there is a snubber over that diode.
So what I understand from your advice
Not replace the two switching diodes

Although they are a lot better than what the Chinese have diodes in SMPS Now

Those two diodes are parrallel in one! package, the cree is only one diode. You don't have room for two.
Dude
Two diodes in the PSU are single
G19L (90V/4A)
I marked yellow arrow in the photo
But if I have to get involved with the calculations of ringing and calculate a snubber and changing the original values of the SMPS
I not replacing the diodes

even with the best diode there is alway some kind of ringing left. Which you can remove with a snubber

I know that there are those planning electric circuits
That the result of the snubber
Ring circuits
And switching that is out of control

Determined by the diode they choose

But you scared me yesterday that if I change the diode it can make a ring
p.m

Sorry I do not know how to explain it in English Dude

Already bought all the parts for the mod of the SMPS
I will get them a few more days
The diodes of the CREE has been ordered
I just want to be sure that no harm will put them and Replace the existing
:D

I came across an interesting articleOn the diode Cree Z-Rec

Cree Z-Rec diodes feature zero reverse recovery, resulting in up to a

50% reduction in switching losses versus comparable silicon diodes. They also exhibit consistent switching performance across their entire temperature range, which simplifies circuit design and reduces the need for complex thermal management. When used in conjunction with Cree’s recently-introduced 1200V SiC power MOSFETs, these SiC Schottky diodes enable the implementation of all-SiC power electronic circuits with the capability to operate at up to four times higher switching frequencies when compared to conventional silicon diodes and IGBTs. This enables a reduction in the size, complexity and cost of inverter circuitry, while achieving extremely high system efficiency. Finally, this new family has the additional benefits of higher surge ratings and avalanche capabilities than the previous generation of SiC Schottky diodes, which increases overall system reliability.
These devices are ideal as boost diodes and anti-parallel diodes in solar inverters and 3-phase motor drive circuits, as well as in PFC boost circuits in power supplies and UPS equipment. They can also be used in applications where engineers typically parallel many devices to address higher power requirements.
Devices now released are rated for 2A, 5A, 10A, 20A and 40A. Dependent on current ratings, the parts are available in standard or fully-isolated TO-220 and standard TO-247 packages.
