Examining the Lundahl output boards, I discovered a small grey Ero capacitor (C7) which is only present on one of the boards. The C3 spot is empty. Assuming the boards for each channel (L/R) should be identical, I’m a bit puzzled. Is this supposed to be so?

on April 16th you wrote to me that you would send the missing C3 capacitor the next day. As of today May 5th there's still no sign of it. Did you forget all about it or did it get lost in the mail?

Dac arrived today, first problem:
remote control does not work. Battery is inside and charge.

I tested r.c. unit with an IR receiver tester and it seems to be work.

What to do?

Does the LED of the remote control light up when you press any button of the remote ?

Have you inserted the battery on the right side ?

tsop Ir receiver in the DAC unit is correctly positioned and powered at +5V
In this remote control is not present control led. Is the previous version, i think....
(In this version ic on board is tm2228 that seems to be a sort of chinese version of nec chip including ceramic resonator).
Battery in the tx unit is correctly positioned and there is an ir emission, but i have only tested the phisical emission of remote with a ir tester.

Hi, Quanghao and Andrea!
Could you please explain a couple of strange things in the coax spdif input schematics?
1. Isolation transformer is shorted;
What you mean ??

2. Termination resistor is not 75ohm;

3. There is a 1uF cap in series with Spdif +, which is huge (it was 0.1uF on previous version of the dac).
It can run with 0.1uF to 10uF

The problem is: when i change my socket to true 75R bnc dac does not receive spdif anymore.

It sound very well, but my DIY analog source is still better, for a normal CD PCM 44Khz, of course.

This weekend I will have a few time to try it.

The Dac with Ll1684 alleway work voltage mode output.

You can conect to amli.

If Dac not have Iv stage (ll1684) or other.
You can not conect direct to amp. Your amli is died.
