Ok guys, Here's a suggestion. It is simple.
Just put holes to accommadate the standard pin spacings that exist for these caps. and then allow as much room around them as is feasable. Looking at the nichicon site the pin spacings that are standard are as follows: 3.5mm, 5mm, and 7.5mm
so if Brian just puts 4 (1 common and 1 for each spacing requirement) holes per 220uf cap, each person can pick whichever spacing they desire.
BTW, I think the biggest 220uF cap you'll find is 16mm diameter, so that could be the the upper limit on the area needed around the holes.

Just curious if these boards will actually ever happen? There was nothing really wrong with Brian GT's original board in the first place. In fact Nelson has patented 7 new circuits has produced them for 6 years and has released them now to us DIY'ers since this thread originally started........
