hi apexaudio
greetings building another channel h 900 using in output
mj15024 mj 15025 4 pairs
1 matching 2n5401 and 2n5551 what gain reading hfe is good same what
reading should mje340 mje 350 have
cannot find mjl21193 mjl21194 metal ones flatpack ones are available but
very costly any other output transistors better than ths to recomend time
to pack amplifier great sound
thanking you

2N5401 and 2N5551 matching to have same hfe, and MJE340/MJE350 also.
MJ21195/MJ21196 is also good for outputs,
Regards

Hi Apex, thanks for your generosity of sharing most of your designs and knowledge to us DIYers.
A great pleasure to see your posted projects and un-ending support to all confused minds.
I'm fascinated with this H-class 900 amp of yours which I am about to build and plan to drive a dual 18" subwoofers, (4 ohms: 2 parallel 8 ohms).
I have on hand most of the components both passive and active.
Now, I have 2 options on what output transistors to use which I wanna ask for a professional advice from you.
I have here 20pcs of each of the ff output Qs:
MJ15024 / MJ15024
MJ21193 / MJ21194
All are TO-3 package.
Which of those pair will you suggest for this project.
If its not much to ask, is it also okay if I'll make 8 pairs of output transistor for each channel? I mean it's like 8 NPNs and 8 pcs PNPs?
If I do so, what safety values of voltage rails should I use for this one?
Is the 80-60-0-60-80 secondary voltages will just be fine?

Thanks so much in advance and sorry for lots of questions here.

You can use any of this pairs, and no need more the 6 pairs, H-class made for that. 80-40-0-40-80 secondary voltages will be just fine.
