I don't think of it that way. There are hundreds of people who can benefit from what you're doing. All of your effort makes a good tutorial on how to run these tests. Not everybody is an expert and we all start somewhere. So, boring or not for me or Salas, it doesn't matter. We are a community. That's what makes this forum great, IMHO.
Thanks Iko. I'll continue boring you then
Actually I'm not sure I demand replys to everything. It helps to summarize what I'm doing, in the thinking/testing/developing process, writing it down. Its good to take the silly hat also sometimes. Not everybody dares to ask noob questions so maybe as you say, someone can benefit from reading it. Hope so.
And, as you say it. As a flash from a clear blue sky heres shiny new wiring (be gone, cracky ethernet TPs) (pic 1)
Some shielding to hopefully shut out some noice (pic 2)
The barge (pic 3)
New test rig (pic 4)
Dang what have we here? 5 mV/div (pic 5)
13,5 k dummies (not as dummie as me pic 6)
New scope first shot, 2 mV/div (pic 7)
Do I have a problem
PS. Agree, great forum. Long time since I donated, gonna do that tonight, thanks!

DS. The hooks are 60 MHz. Suggest me some new on fleabay if you know any decent provider.
At least 150MHZ probes if to cover 100MHZ DSO with not much additional shift.
Better stuff
Simply OK for hobbyist stuff
Use one channel at a time because it triggers off of just one and noise is not periodic so to sync 2 channels on anything in particular. Looks just like measurement loop and DSO noise to me, and low at that, with no suspicious waveform or EMI spikes. It should be a pass if you are not having something up your sleeve of course.
P.S. Read the manual a couple of times is highly recommended, DSO has nice tricks and traps also.

I found another button. I love buttons
How goes that old saying about pressing the right buttons .
The only hornblower here is me, the SSHVs are on. Here is second channel.
PS. I had my payment conversation with almighty today so I'm a lil piffsy as you might notice I always feel lil going HV when a lil piffsy. Shall we plug the circuit then?
