New FIFO buffer for RPI/SBCs

Master DAC (Boss) for RPI

Everyone knows there are many master DACs/ RPI on the market. For one reason or other , we were thinking that hardware implementation was not right so we decided to design one ourselves. We want to achieve the best quality possible for a reasonable price.

PCM5122 IC
3 separate LPF..one for analog , one for digital and last for oscillators.
4 LDOs , including a lt3042 in the analog section
NDK oscilators (44/48Mhz)
Film capacitors in the analog stage .
Supercapacitor in the analog stage
Extra copper on the PCB for low impedance.

Samples received we are assembling and testing.

The BOSS is meant to be a good audio solution for an excellent price.

PCM IC fits this and we have a few good implementations for it. This is not meant to be hi end solution , rather a solid entry point in the RPI audio. With and SBC + Boss you will have an excellent streamer for (less) than 100$.

We will announce the hiend solution once we are more advanced.

personnaly I am waiting for a way to adjust the cutoff (LP point and HP point) between 60-150H without any Single Board Computer (sparky, raspberry connector input...) nor distribution , thinking using i2s input : either ask for a specially requested factory preset frequency or use purepath studio are the only feasible solutions ?

You need i2c thats how the TI chips works

Board has been tested. We got sound.

Regarding the quality...we honestly think this is the best implementation of the PCM5122 as a master.

Next we are building 50 units MP and we will have about 20 to give away for testing. However due to Chinese new year we will get the PCB in about 3 weeks. Once received we will announce the testers.
