The lastest version ????????????

Here's my latest project:
It is a 2 stage, direct-coupled push-pull pentode amp with plate to grid feedback, based on Gary Pimm's Tabor amplifier.
Input/drivers are GE 12SJ7, output tubes are wartime, British, Mazda PEN45 beam pentodes, which were Mazda's answer to the American 6V6.
It still needs a set of feet and a pair of small knobs, for the input pair, screen balance adjustes, which can be seen in front of the row of 12SJ7s
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Indeed a classic appearance- very nice build!
What kind of wood is used on the side panels?
Looks great!
Thank for watching my diy project.
I used a pices of teak wood for all.
Hi guys,
The wood end cheeks are made from American black walnut, finished with teak oil.
The PEN45 is quite rare these days,,but it sounds clean and detailed in pentode mode, with good bass. Heater is the old British pre-war 4V type.
Yes I saw the PEN45' datasheet. Transconductance is higher than 6V6. I didn't hear about this valve.
You paint the transformers in a harmonic colour with the valves and the glossy chassis.
Walnut is rare here in Spain, but no less sought after for its beautiful appearance.
Have you tried Tung oil? It's like teak but has an amazing dye. Try putting on first with 120 grit sandpaper, you place the Tung dissolved in half with turpentine wait 72 hours after you repeat the operation with smaller sandpaper, gradually you concentrate more turpentine and so on until the total polishing. Wood breathes and finish is unique.
Good listening friend
@845.....super.What kind of speakers did you use for this project?

This is my latest project-300B Parallel SE amp
There are people who have elevated this diyaudio building to new heights of construction, design, aesthetics, and sonics. Some of the builds of amplifiers almost make me think that this subforum ought be renamed as, "tube amplifier porn".
845, your build is awesome looking -- just wish you could invite us all over for a listen though. It is also awesome on how to all matches well.
What is the list of the other tube based equipment in your set up picture?
My speakers is TAD Exclusive 3401
Well....in this case I think there is enough steam to drive it well.
Go upgrade to TAD 2404....
Congrats for the sistem.
Best.
