I plan to use VSSA for mids and highs and SDA for woofers.
can you point on a datasheet, or can you explain if the SDA has a high pass filter or if it could work DC coupled ? I want to do some "motion feedback" and then I would need 0° phase shift, or a few. thanks.
Also is this possible to modify gain ?
finally do you recomend a DC protection or delay at start up ?

sorry to spam with tons of questions :)

as you know I plan to use 2 DPS400 to power 4VSSA which will be in a 2U box.
would you recomend to insert additional common-mode self between the DPS and the PBTU or between the PBTU and the VSSA boards to "completely" reduce residual HF noise ?

got the mda 400

Hi,
MDA-400 sended to:

Weskoki (2x)
Nikola (2x)
Tinitus (1x)
PinkMouse (1x)
marginwalker (1x)
CafèNoir (1x)
MJ777 (1x)
Fherudi (1x)
Baga (1x)
----------------------
Waited Telephon number from HiroPro.

No notice from : MJ777,CaffèNoir,PinkMouse. received??

Hi Roberto,

I received the mda400 amp, just got back from the Philippines cause my father died last month from heart attack and also the typhoon damage parts of our house in the Philippines so i am very busy for the past few weeks, thanks for the very nice amp but i have not tested it yet. by the way im searching for the mda 400 thread but haven't found it so i post my reply here.

regards,

and I want attenuation controls on front panel

Hi,
this is the block diagram of the SDA-400, as an evolution of the SDA-300 (not in production).
The amplifier is equipped with all the protections, as dc offset guard, speaker short-cut, anti clips dynamic, output relay gold contacts and thermal protection.
Power-up is delayed with LED (3 sec.) As a complete amplifier of market.
-----------------------------
Input as DC up to comparator pin.
Not need emi/rfi filter, it's as mute without problem, also is stable (you can disconnect- re-connect load while SDA-400 work in clip region without any problem.
-----------------------------
The SDA-400 is widely used in the field of professional PA, since 2005, with 100V line transformer. but the company that requested it, he wanted some special features on the voice, and excellent definition on the high range.
From some years, is used as a tweeter drivers in high fidelity, I think this means a lot for an amp in class
D. :)
----------------------------
Well, today I have some spedition for guys :)

looks possible

have to say, in my case, even a bigger heatsink, just with shorter fins, would have been better, leaving a little bit of the needed exstra space
Maybe is better you route amps (as heatsink vs. rear case) and put PBTU-3 near DPS-400. I not see a problem in your config, but is better that input board not see toroidal filter.

I tested well this heatsink with sda-400, he delta temperature does not exceed 20 ° in any condition, obvious you can change.

If you want input selector, it's better near xlr pcb.
everything has been well studied , such as the input board and flat cable , to allow a simple and clean connections without noise.
After put some designs that can help you the best possible installation .

but I need a bigger/deeper chassis/box ;)

tried a deeper box chassis, but that does not change much really

having a small space issue around the mains input plug area, because I want to use Neutrik in/out

may sound weird, but my main problem is that is very little room for using extention shafts to input selector and attenuators

I may have to mount attenuator board directly on front panel

and have considered to give up on the integrated amp idea ... but I'm not there yet

Hello Roberto,
thank you for the SDA-400 figures and for the confirmation that we do not need additional selfs.

regarding the DPS-400, is it possible to configure voltage 3 (LM317) to GND instead of VN ?

if possible, may I kindly ask you to do so on my 2 kit 1 (also please remeber one is to be configured in 42V and the other in 52V (or 54...). Thank you !

Hi,
Yes sure for GND REF, but...how running other Kit-1??
My curiosity...I think one Kit-1 for bass (it's dual mono smps) and KIT-8 for VSSA amps, sorry but not understand well ,why did you choose 2xKit-1 then?
