Good dear Project 16... this helps a lot... people listening builder's voice

will trust in our Dx Corporation.... and you are member.

Please dear Project 16, send me pictures of you... from yourself and from your amplifiers and audio stuff...... something we can even publish or instruct me only to put in the "hall of fame" of our headquarters.

Pcboards will soon be shipped for Puerto Rico....maybe already travelling.

Juan will receive these pcboards and will assemble one amplifier and one supply to have sure it is all right in accordance with the layout shipped...then will ship mine set, will produce photographs to show you in details and will open the group buy in the group buy sector of our forum.

Hello guys

well I like to share my ideas as always I was simulating how the final project looks like using Google Sketch so I work using millimeters measurements to make the components but some parts I can not make and I use free components from the website data base this is just a "simulation" not and actual way I'm going to do it for me is just reference so you also guys can design your own projects too by seen this help to visualize that, ok here is some images:

I did it as accurate as possible might be a bit different depends on your parts you are going to buy, I hope this help develop more ideas for you guys yes the Dx Regulator will be simulate it too :)

Regards
Juan

I cannot suggest a heatsink model code Terry...because i use other

method to calculate a heatsink dimension.

but i can make a study, considering a worst case scenario.... so...if you apply, you will have your supply series pass transistors heatsink warm...with less than 10 degrées celsius above the environment temperature.

The size depends on the impedance...or the power your amplifier will drain from the supply.

Here you have something that may help.

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how to do calculations for heatsinks. I was a carpenter by trade. I understand feet and inches but not dissipation.

What I hope to use is my Antek 5225 transformer. It puts out +/-40Vdc with regular bridge/filter on my house outlet. Do you think this will suffice for the Super A? If so, what size heatsink do you think I will need. I am not looking to blast out the windows of my house. I have many powerful amps, including the MKIII that I am currently building. I am looking to use this amp for normal listening levels through no lower than 4 ohm speakers.

Thanks, Terry
