to improve the WAF.

Ya, there's little doubt who they were brought in for.

I don't know, any sport you have to get all dolled for and wear heavy makeup doesn't sound like a sport to me. Same with the ladies. ;)

Speaking of which, have you noticed how many females are wearing makeup during the different competitions? And they wonder why we don't take them seriously sometimes.

How did figure skating ever get into the olympics anyway?

Nothing to measure but opinion. Where's the faster, higher, stronger part?

I suspect there is a similar equivalancy between competitive swimming and syncronized swimming. I almost made Nationals in 100m Butterfly, but those syncro swimmers sure got a lot of respect from me for their swimming capabilities.

Good point.

Maybe they will add amplifier designing next. :)

"Folks, it's a tie the Brazilian judge must break. He's getting ready to show his score card.. no wait, he's just showing the Serbian judge a photo of his daughter eating what looks like a sausage stir fry..."

My analogy better suited to Speed vrs Figure skating,

Hockey would be classified as a stick & ball team sport.

Spare us the innuendo: we're all adults here!

Hmm.. Why assume innuendo? None intended. You obviously don't know Carlos. I guess it was a bit of an inside joke. Read DestroyerX threads, you'll understand.

Anyway back to hockey. Yep, the women deserve it (again). Way to go!

Now, as long as Gaborik and Hossa are 'contained', the next Mens game against Slovakia should be win-able, but these games aren't getting easier. Those two snipers are DANGEROUS.

I see players on both teams with both white and black tape on their stick blades, so it must be a personal preference? Wouldn't you want black to help hide the puck from the goalie's sight when shooting?
Choice of tape color is users choice. With all those big bodies flying around, the goalie has more distractions than tape color!
If a player happens to break in clean on a goalie, it's a fatal mistake to watch the puck.
You watch the shooters eyes & body movement.

I used white tape. No idea why but I would never use black when I played hockey. For some reason I always thought the black didn't last as long. It really is a personal preference. Now if you want to get into a debate about which end to start taping your stick from that is a whole 'nother ball of wax.

Yup. That black tape on blades thing was an old school idea that didn't last too long. Nobody cares about it now. Our team uses mostly white. I use black just because I bought a case.

I can't tell any difference between black and white tape. Is there a difference? Never noticed.
