No, i said NO DISPLAY, read what i said  all these volume projects use a display, how about NOT using one on this one, and using my ideas with the led per input JUST one led per input selected, and for the steps, example 100 steps, you have 10 led's 1 per 10 steps.

I hope you are friends with bbp. Your post sounded arrogant. And by the way, I love having a display and not just some blinking led's.

wasn't suppose to be, was trying to get the point to leave out a display and just do something really simple. If he did a vfd, display maybe something that would work with this nice case,

Any idea on cost , if this baby works out ?

perhaps each module will cost $150,I am working the BOM file out with pricing.
each module can only be configurate as a fully balanced mono channel or stereo single-end channels

I think 0.1% resistors is the best choice for this module, althogh 1% tolerance is enough for the project, but the highly cost for the resistors is really a problem.
I got only 1%/50ppm low noise chip resistors for the evaluatetion board at the moment

the next step is to assemble the module and get a highly authentic testing result by AUDIO PRECISION SYSTEM TWO

Any way to implement the ideas i brought up ?

One module assembled
It took me 3 hours to do this job >_<
more than 700 pads solder needed, over 50 capacitors and 100 resistors with 0805 package and 18 pieces SOP16 ICs

it is not an easy job for me, but I fell so excited ^_^
