What do you mean by easier? There's absolutely nothing wrong with RC coupling on a 300B.

KT88 in UL mode will require some feedback to work properly, so an interstage transformer is not a good idea.

What do you mean that's enough?

Trioded D3a (with active load) produces "enough" swing (up to 200Vpp) to drive almost any tube ... with appropriate driver (low output impedance, enough current to drive grid etc.).
