I've used in the past older-mattress-type sheets of foam which were hung on either side of my seat to quench reflections. I agree with Toole. It works. They were 1 inch thick by 2 feet wide and 4 feet tall. Nowadays, memory foam seems to have a bad reputation for VOC on the web.
The sound stage without foam is deep, a bit broad and spectrally balanced.
I continue with experiments to abate more reflections. I am winning this fight; subjectively speaking.

Wow, then I should be dead since I sleep on memory foam and listen in a room filled with foam.
