Question about a Hifonics Europa VIII diode? See attached






Does anyone have the schematics for the Europa VIII or can anyone tell me the diode value? Any help will greatly appreciated, thank you.

Ok i removed the diode very carefully and no i have a number:
C106A2

Is C106 printed on the device, or are you reading that off the PCB silkscreen?

This is a 6 amp diode with about 50 amp surge

This guy from Aussie does not have knowledge of car amps.

Who uses an SCR as the reverse polarity diode?

Does anyone know who may have schematics of a Hifonics Europa VIII? I just need to know what diode to buy/use.

C106 is printed on the amp board and the diode itself has either 16 6 A 2 or 10 6 A 2 markings. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Buy a 6A2 diode available from many suppliers.

SCRs have 3 legs!

Ok from doing some research I have notice that Hifonics used the 6A2 diode on the majority of the amps. Looking through the amp guts the 6A2 diode is found everywhere.

Come on someone should know the correct diode to use.

You can replace 6A2 with P600M, P600K
