Mixing Driver and Tweeter

Both professional companies and home builders do it all the time-the woofer from one company, the tweeter from another. In fact, it seems to be more the rule than the exception.

I agree with you about the relative sensitivity of the two drivers, (being within 1 or 2 db), being of paramount importance. But I don't think such Thiele-Small parameters as Qts, Vas and Vb have much significance up in the tweeter crossover range.

Keltic: I couldn't agree more. The only other one I was referring to is the Fs of the tweeter. It should be low enough so that it can be integrated properly with the 6 1/2 inch driver. Almost nothing is worse than the sound you get from some midrange/midbass drivers that have been crossed over too high.
