Thank you Scott.
I'm thinking about using a waveguide to uniform the overall dispersion.
I would like to match dispersion between 8" full-range, crossover point maybe at 1.8KHz, and a tweeter plus 8" waveguide.
Depends on the "full-range" driver. IF it's got a whizer (that you don't want to remove), then the dispersion will be wider near 2 kHz and you'll want a design withOUT a waveguide. That STAC tweeter from SB should work well in that case with a stepped baffle and an LR 2nd order high-pass around 2 kHz.
IF the "full-range" does NOT have a whizer (or you are going to remove it yourself), then consider this pairing of tweeter and waveguide (with modification) and a crossover "near" 1.5 kHz:
SB29RDNC with 8" partsexpress waveguide (as tested from Zaph's Blog):
"..the opening is actually 1.610". The SB29 neo's flange raises the plastic waveguide edge over just over the outside surround edge and it clears contact by about 1/32" all the way around. The small neo flange is not removeable and so this kind of fitup is pretty much required."

..of course this solution is NOT really a *wide* dispersion design (..or one approaching omni).
