Hello All
My first time here. If anyone has a suggestion it would be much appreciated: I have a Azur 640C CD player which manifests odd problems now and then, and seems to be heat related. The CD will not load and after much whirring and the laser moving back and forth the message "no play" appears. The open /close button also does not work now and then, but the remote does work. The Gold "box" labeled "precision servo control" is hot even when on standby. If I unplug and allow it to cool down for a few hours it works fine for a while for up to 3 CD or 45min continuously which is odd. Any ideas the unit is about 4 years old ?? Many Thanks |

Get a can of freeze spray from Dick Smith. Wait until the player starts "playing-up", STOP THE PLAYER, and then cool down the suspect part. See if you get it working for another 45min or so...
Boky edit: are there any Dick Smith stores in NZ? |

could be soemthing in the servo, but its much more likely to be something in the cd-mech itself.
