Also what’s the best thing to use to clean the corrosion off the transformer ?

I'd use a toothbrush and alcohol of acetone.

Did a capacitor leak?

No I pulled the caps to make sure they weren’t leaking .

The amp had a lot of corrosion so wanted to make sure the caps weren’t leaking

Double-check any vias where there was corrosion.
