tone control preamplifier

Hello
greetings can anyone help me out i am trying to make this simple
tone control as i am not a pcb designer can this tone control be
made on a double sided pcb with lots of ground plane and SMD
components.I have made it on a dot pcb with LM4562 can it be bettered
with OPA1612 IC . Sorry for asking so many questions

Bipolar tone control opamps and no DC blocking capacitors on the wipers - it will be crackly.


Any DC on the wiper will cause loud crackles if the pot isn't perfect as the current is interrupted over bumps on the track and the input stage briefly saturates full-swing.

This is why JFET opamps are commonly used for tone-controls, or DC-blocking caps and separate DC bias paths.
