Zobel Netwrok
Hi im building CAT5 speaker cables and im mostly likely gonna be installing a zobel network. my question is what resistor and cap do i need for my speakers?

That's because the scrawny twisted pairs presents a capacitive load to the amp. To protect against that you need an inductor in the output of your amp, not a zobel network in parallel with it. Or just use normal beefy zip cord 🙂
well i spent over two days makin this cable and im def using it. lol. what kind of inductor and how would i place it?
About 10 turns of 14ga. insulated electrical wire wound around a 10 ohm, 5 watt resistor should do the trick. Strip the wire leads and solder to the resistor. See illustration.
Connect one end of this unit to the + amp output and the + speaker wire to the other end.

Attachments
A regular 5w wire wound "sand" (read ceramic cased) resistor would do for me. Others might say you need something better.
