Zilch's real name was Evan Flavell. He was born November 22, 1942 and passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011.
Evan designed a successful workout machine and company (Isokinetics, Inc), and obviously loved audio as a hobbyist. I spoke with him on the phone and exchanged emails pretty often and he was always optimistic and cheerful. In my opinion, he was able to express himself on these internet forums in a way that let his personality shine through very well.
