one very nice solution for PCB layout is here : Leon´s ZenV4 layout
I made a PCB for a ZenV4 as well(Eagle) but without the regulator.
And I haven´t tried it yet so you´d have to check it before.

there is a little bit easy to create this kind(one side) of pcb. but I doubt have I buy all cooper plated pcb?
also there is a litle strange for me transistor irfp 044 price. about 0.5eur. also I find the same but on the end leters MBR. price 15eur. I find some of more pricely transistors, with bigger power as afact. I quess would be better
to stay in originals componenets. but metalized prpylene would be ok?

also I am I counted everything, built with good quality componenets: toroid trafs for audio, elna cerafine 50v 220uF caps, philiops bc 051 power filtering and pcb big cap, (also metalized propulene or some paper in oil,good firms- audyn, jensen, etc.) the price is 400eur( even without pcb,heatsinks,chassi. )WOUL THIS BRING ME HUGE QUALITY RICE?
I have quad 303, replace few componenet with new ones, and it realy does. pass amps is not critical in components? hard to believe.. 🙄
also the cheapest version( is only 130eur. including two 250w toroids for 15eur each(!!) cheap jamicon caps, etc)
what shoul I do. this will be my firs project.. any sugestions welcome

first i have to say i actually haven´t build any of the Zens yet but probably soon will(ZV5?).
regarding the transistor prices:
there can be indeed big differences in price due to the manufacturer.
International Rectifier (IRF) parts are known to be the best choice but 15€ is indeed a lot.
ask your distributor who produces them.
i for example pay about 1.50€ for IRFP044N but sometimes they are not from IRF.
i actually can´t tell you about the differences in components (see above) but for example the trannies from the "cheap" version sound nice to me.
in the article Nelson recommends 330VA units but 250VA should be OK.
i wouldn´t use those caps in oil etc...
just use some Wima caps.
the Elnas shouldn´t be that expensive and are probably worth.
power supply caps...well try the jamicons if you´re on a tight budget or do a search what others used.
the most important thing with the sound of the Zen (as with a lot of other amplifiers as well) is the speakers they will be driving.
90dB+ recommended but there are exceptions to this like to everything else.
I think nobody (at least myself) can´t tell you that for sure.WOUL THIS BRING ME HUGE QUALITY RICE?

Dimension is 4X7 inch.
note. Q4 that I used = IRF9610 not ZVP3310
C1 and C2 is SCR 10uF 250 V

hello, sorry for disturbing, but it is first(!) time when I will make pcb. I have
1) two pcb 160x100mm, single sided getintax covered with fotoresistor(?) and some stick blue tape on.
2) fecl3 X 6H2o (this is means 6times bigger water for product making?)
also I will need some paint or something?
there is instruction in poland, but I dont know a word-... hot water... 0.25-0.5l....
I woul like to learn how to make easy and simple pcb- take out not needing cooper from pcb. so what is about all process? what period I should keep fecl3 to pcb, put all pcb to this componenet or only needed places?
