I have been working for awhile on this.
I know its not as ideal as some of you guys would like it to be.
But I tried, and it's my FIRST build ever.
Took nearly a month.
I didn't have the foam of 5/8" that is recommended by Zaph, waiting for that, till then I just used a polyfill sheet I had lying around to cover up a bit.
Haven't heard them properly as they have not been placed yet, but overall, very pleased. The highs feel a little pushed back to me for some reason, but that's because I am probably used to my other bookshelves I am using as a surround now.

I know this is super old, but I just would like to hear your thoughts on these?
I've ben using a ZA5.3 MTM, 5.3C and 5.2 surrounds for about 10 years and love them. Awesome set of speakers, and the Zaph driver is beautiful!
I am just now finishing up a Anthology pair to have a real full size pair of speakers.

Yes that was banned, I had some issues with ip addresses, forgot what!
I actually remade the enclosures recently and it completely changed my experience. They sound fabulous and measure great aswell. Imaging is great. Soundstage is huge. Crystal clear vocals. I dont think they do rock and metal that good, but i dont listen to rock. Hip Hop and EDM sounds great. I use subwoofers, as mains alone you would need to listen at moderate SPL if you play fullrange.
There is a review about the Zaph 5.2 on audiosciencereview. Should check it out.
I’ve compared them to a few commercial offerings and these definitely hold their own!
I’d go for the Zaph ZA5.5 instead though, if I could upgrade.

I need my SPL!
Basically only for higher sensitivity and most likely lower distortion at given SPL compared to the 5.3T!

I am considering a pair now myself and have been looking around for a while..
What other systems have you been looking at?
I also have been looking at the Statements II and Solstice
How would you anticipate the differences in the three different kits?
I may just do the 5.5 for fun and it appears to be a fairly simple build.
