i wanted to know if the "DUAL" trademark is a good company for subwoofers?? or are they cheap. because i just bought two 12" subwoofers in a 4-port (4"), dual-chamber bandpass design its 1,100 watts max power and 600 watt RMS and magnet size is 38 oz. Neodymium. 4 ohms, single voice coil, and it says the efficiency is 89db, Frequency response: 24 - 180Hz is this any good?? or is it regular kind??? -thanks
I'm not familiar with them. What do your ears say? That's all that matters! There will always be someone to tell you what you think is great is actually **** and vice versa!
EDIT: :O I didn't think that word was censor material!!!

Just Say No...
Dual.....think Lightning Audio, then subtract any seemingly good points of the woofer.
Trashcan material, I can attest to this from my early days of car audio....very cheaply built, small voice coil diameter (definitely won't handle the power listed!), and very low excursion, to the point of ridicule from decent midranges.
But hey, if you already bought them, I'd pull 'em from that bandpass and play with 'em! Who knows, you could find an arrangement that works well for you! 😉
