What is your favorite smaller size 1" compression driver?
I need a great sounding driver (preferably under 75mm / 3" dia) to pair with a 6" mid, crossing above 3k. HF extension is important.

Any other drivers fitting my criteria that I'm missing?

Some drivers that stand out -
- B&C DE7 (yes, it has a 3/4" throat)
- Lavoce DN10.142 (only 60mm diameter and goes pretty low)
- Lavoce DF10.142LK (a little too big but sounds good enougn to make it work)
- Selenium ST200 (a super tweeter, but it can cross fairly low)

The newer BMS5530ND are smaller at 72mm OD, they are a super solid little thing in your hand with the Neo magnet designed for close spacing in line arrays. The response is fairly typical of BMS having a peak around 18K before dropping off, but they look much cleaner in the last octave than the lavoce do.
Its going to go in a very tight space on a.baffle that use to be a large 2 way, turning into a 3 way to fix lack of HF extension. I've only got about 3 inches to play with, so I have to make my own WG from plywood and 3d printing.BMS 4552nd. 85mm dia and can cross at 1KHz in the right horn at prosound levels.
Why does the compression driver need to be so small?
@newvirus2008 - it needs to be a bolt on driver since I'm making my own WG. I could use an adapter, but want to keep the WG on the shorter side, as it will integrate phase wise better with xover.
My mistake, bolted-type available, use suffix B instead of S.

I personally have no experience with compression drivers, but this one might fit the bill: Beyma CD1ND
B&C's DE360 ring radiator shows nice HF extension on the factory data sheet, but I have not seen independent measurements.
I bought and Oberton ND45 to test out. Great driver. Smooth and detailed.
Most of these look perfectly usable.

I've used that one and like it, but it doesn't sound that great down low. Probably a trait of being a ring radiator. Up high is nice and a bit euphoric, like other ring radiators tend to be.B&C's DE360 ring radiator shows nice HF extension on the factory data sheet, but I have not seen independent measurements.
The PRV D260 MR-Y is a JBL 2407 copy internally and sounds almost the same for only 50 bucks. I've used this one in alot of compact 2 way stuff with a 6 or 8" midbass. Good driver.
Problem here in the US its hard to get that brand. They look like they make some nice stuff for the money. By the time I have it shipped here its not wort it IMO.I bought and Oberton ND45 to test out. Great driver. Smooth and detailed.

Don't forget that the harmonic distortion in that test is measured at 104dB/1m, so I don't call that THD level high at all, and it's not "mostly" even order, but it's exactly only 2nd harmonic (the least intrusive one, the 3rd HD is too low in level to affect the THD curve. Thanks - That Beyma is also interesting. Rather high THD in that test, but mostly even order.
