Hi!
Nice amp!
More and more I am being drawn into DIY audio electonics... I simply can't wait to try out some stuff I see and read about every day, I think P3A will definitely be one of them this year. But money doesn't come cheap 😉 , so I will not get into excessive Class-A DIY stuff... just the DoZ I am building right now...
And I like the cases all you people are building. I just can't find a source for getting "cutted" metal parts for my encasings... And Schaeffer (CNC-cut metalworks company) is too expensive except for frontplates...
And I will have to get a digicam in order to post pics (since started four month's ago I have already build an End Millenium Mono Sub Amp, heavily modified an old Marantz amp, a DoZ pre amp...
Keep up the good suggestions!
Ciao,
Arndt

More pictures of Normal Ugly good sounding AMPS!
AMPS!
Of natural causes, it is only the most "beautiful amps"
that get pictures posted.
They are only "the tip of an iceberg".
95% of All Good Great Sounding DIY-amps are REALLY Ugly 🙄
Made up of materials recycled from scrapyards.
And simple chassis of thin, 1-2 mm Aluminium.
No fancy LEDs or Knobs.
I want to see more of these AMPS.
More of the DIY-Everyday reality.
I could bet on that the amps that SOUNDS best
built by diyaudio members, are not very exceptionally looking....
/halo - has only built crappy looking amps
with good sound, after some tweaking

Looks Like a Normal DIY-amp
I live alone in my apartment.
There is no children or other persons
going aruond touching the circuits.
I have several Amps and power supplies without any case.
Some are only built with normal fibreboards
as foundation.
Most circuits are hardwired and mounted on
cheap plastic cutting boards. Those you use in the kitchen.
A perfect way to get low priced plastic.
They work alright.
A little mic-amp with 9Vdc battery,
I had to put into aluminium box.
It was a little hole only some 8 mm diameter in that box.
I had to put aluminium folie (foil) over the hole.
I could see on oscilloscope how this little hole
could effect the noise/hum from amp!
Gain is 100 (40dB) in that mic-amp.

I like the way you have connected the Capacitor leads together.
I bet your amp work well.
halo - too lazy to make cases for his electronics.

One off these weeks (yes I live in weeks)
I'll order some parts for an AlephX or two.
Then I will be able to compare the sound of this amp
with the AlephX. Although this one is very good I hope the AlephX will be even more 'musical'.
I'm also very lazy in finishing things, but I can live with it.
I think we should start an "Ugliest DIY-project" threat.

ZenV4 Mono!
On a copper plate, p2p.
Look at the nice glow of the copper 😎
/Hugo - has a long way to go in p2p but is closely watching Peter😉
I realize these posts are rather off-topic, compared with the beautiful P3A... I guess I'll better start a new threat.
Still thinking of a name for it.
