Another year has gone by, and I am still debating if I should get a DSO 😱, I can't make up my mind whether to get an old Tek 2232 (or similar) or spring for the new Chinese ones like Rigol, Hantek, etc.
I am just using the scope for relatively low frequency audio type measurements, so does the new DSO's do something that the old Tek couldn't do? I am also partial to the old CRO display, just seems "clearer" to me... OTOH, if anything breaks in the old Tek, the parts are nearly impossible to come by, so...

Digiscopes are cute for screenshots and single-shot measurements, but their waveform display ain't smooth unless they have a "phosphor" feature ($$$).

Forgot another option, PC soundcard based scope with a decent soundcard, soundcard buffer and software. The downside is, it requires an extra pc and still no real knobs to turn...
