I have a Yaquin MS12B preamp on the way. I am wondering if I can use it to drive two amps, one main and one subwoofer (plate) amp. It has two preamp outs at 0.7 and 0.25v.
Anyone know whether both can be used simultaneoulsy, or whether I can split the signal from the 0.7v output?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Yes!

The 0.25V output is derived from the 0.7V via a couple of dividing resistors.
I could email you a schematic if it helps.

How is the phono or the preamp of this little guy compare to some of the better ones? I have the YAQIN as well, just not sure if it's worth the effort to build another tube phono amp or preamp. Thanks.
IMHO, the riaa is junk...

From everything I have read about this preamp on several forums and many personal reviews, your opinion seems unique. If I remember right you posted somewhere that it is not completely accurate within a certain tolerance. Is that correct?
I have had quite a few RIAAs, and built even more...from Hagtech Bugle and PassDiy Pearl, to PassLabs XONO, Triodedick/DDDac-tube riaa, and TubeCad Aikido-Riaa.
And converted/midified MingDa MC-767, as this was the worst I ever tried(absolutely no bass), the MS12b is only ever so slightly better... -still my personal preference...

(Greatest (eastern) surprise is the Xindak riaa!)

The MS12B betters the Bugle in my experience, but you do need to put better tubes in it.
I think I tried the most common NOS-tubes, RCA, Siemens, Mullard, Telefunken, Westinghouse,.... both 12AX7 & 12AU7...
Tubes do not fix a flawed design.

Wow Cobra, I am happy for you that your work is so superior. It is utterly disappointing news to me that I have purchased such an inferior product. I hope I like it better than you do. I reckon though it will still be a heck of a lot better than my failing Yamaha preamp.
