I have been using the MC10L for > 6 months and have tried some tube rolling. Currently I am sticking to the Svetlana EL34 'cos of the 'warm' sound and the crystal clear high. I have gone through the circuitry between the MC10L and the MC100. Based on what I see, it definitely looks like the Yaqin MC10L will support the KT88 tubes since both the plate and the bias voltages are operating at quite similar level. It appears that re-biasing will do without having to change any of the components of the MC 10L. The part I am not sure is the transformer impedance matching to the KT88 (versus EL34).

Wonder if anyone out there has an opinion on this, or try it ?

I am a newbee on tubes but have some background in electronic circuitry ;-)
